Wrapping Them Up For the Weekend

Bruce is putting his finishing touches on the four jugs he made.

We wrapped all of our pots really well under plastic this evening.  Bruce, Gloria, and I are getting ready for a fun filled weekend of watching three potters make pots for two days, and give slide talks of their work and experiences.  The Potters Conference in Asheboro seemed so far away when we signed up for the conference.  It is hard to believe that it is already the 13th of March.  We have a lot to do ourselves here in the studio, but the break will be a good one and I am sure we will come home with lots of great information.
Hopefully some of these well wrapped pots will make it into the kiln for the Catawba Valley Pottery Festival.  The pieces that don't get in for the upcoming Pottery Festival will make it in for the Celebration of Spring in Seagrove kiln opening on April 18th and 19th, 2009.

I have freshly thrown plates, and mugs with handles waiting to be back filled.

My covered jars and bowls are waiting for decoration and then they will be set out to dry.
