As the year approaches the winter season, life seems to speed up. I know it is just the same as any other time but it does truly seem to whiz by faster. Maybe it is a culmination of trying to put a few extra new tasks into the day or catching up on the tasks that were put off...... but it truly does seems like a whole week goes by so fast, like we went to bed Sunday night and we've woken up to Friday morning.
We are settling into our glazing cycle in the studio and will be filling our gas kiln soon. We are preparing for our big annual pottery sale weekend here in Seagrove called The Celebration of Seagrove Potters. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have been participating in the tour only part of the weekend. Many Seagrove Potters will be set up at the Luck's Cannery for the Celebration event and many of us will be set up at our home pottery location -- there are some potters that are open both at the Luck's Cannery Celebration and at their shops.
We are focusing on our Moka and Shino glaze work for this year's Celebration show and will plan to be able to glaze a few crystalline vases before Christmas.
