When it is a cold night in the studio, Bruce recommends wrapping a cat scarf around your neck.
We are currently getting ready for two shows. The Celebration this weekend, and the Carolina Designer Craftsmen will be the following the weekend. Thank goodness for all of Ed and Gloria's help! We are going to be firing a series of crystalline vases for the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Fine Art and Design show. The C.D.C. takes place on the State Fair grounds in Raleigh, North Carolina Thanksgiving weekend. This will be our first year attending this show and we are looking forward to taking our work back to Raleigh.
The C.D.C. show opens Friday, Nov. 28 6pm-9pm, Saturday, Nov 29 10am-6pm, and Sunday, Nov. 30 11 pm-5pm. Daily Admission is $7.00 and a Weekend Pass is $10.00. Children under 12 are free.

Bruce is washing the glaze off of the rims of our vases.
And what am I doing besides being the in house photographer? Samantha is sorting through the glazes to figure out which ones needs to be replenished. We make our crystalline glazes in small batches so glaze mixing and sieving is a constant maintenance task.Celebration of Seagrove Potters Update! ONE MORE DAY!
Today I am going to steer you towards Jennie Keatts of JLK Jewelry, she has the itinerary all laid out for you, at The Details on the Celebration. There are wonderful talks and demonstrations scheduled throughout Saturday and Sunday. There will be something of interest for everyone.
