These molybdenum crystal glazes are great! I like the combination of the flecked background and the small iridescent crystals.
Are these fired to cone 10, reduction?
I've heard that Molybdenum isn't used too often. Are you using it as a colorant in a Zinc-silicate glaze, or in larger amounts as a crystal-former by itself? (Forgive me for being nosy - if it's a secret formula I understand if you don't want to reveal it.)
Hello Paul, We have not yet released information on our crystalline glazes. They are something we have been developing for around 10 years, Bruce has been researching and exploring glazes intensely since the 80's.
